Fly Tying Demonstrations
Throughout the Expo, dozens of talented fly tyers will be tying and talking all day Friday and Saturday. Watch proven patterns come to life, learn new techniques, and ask questions as these skilled anglers share their knowledge in a relaxed, interactive setting. It’s a great opportunity to pick up tips from experienced tyers at every skill level.
Featured Fly Tyers
In the Fly Tying Theater, a lineup of well-known and respected fly tyers will be featured throughout the Expo. These presentations highlight advanced techniques, innovative patterns, and insights from some of the most recognized names in fly fishing. Located in the main exhibition hall, the theater offers a front-row seat to learn from the experts.
Utah’s Iron Fly Competition
Twelve top fly tyers will face off in a fast-paced challenge, creating flies in just 15 minutes using mystery materials provided by Cheech from Fly Fish Food. Up to three rounds will be judged by a panel of experts. Join the excitement Saturday, April 11 at 1:00 pm in the Fly Tying Theater and cheer on your favorite tyer.
